Elephant

Elephants are the largest land mammals on Earth, weighing several tons. Their distinctive long trunks serve multiple purposes such as grasping objects, drinking water, and social interaction. Their large ears help regulate body temperature and are often depicted flapping or folded. Elephants are highly social animals living in herds led by matriarchs, displaying strong familial bonds. There are two main species, African and Asian elephants, each differing in habitat and physical characteristics. They have a long history of coexistence with humans, used in ceremonies and as working animals. Today, they are also a focus of conservation efforts as endangered species.
