The subgroup contains the classic Mars (♂) and Venus (♀) signs as well as newer marks such as the transgender symbol (⚧) that represent gender inclusivity. Historically used in science, astrology and way-finding systems, these pictographs let you specify gender quickly in text or graphics. In recent years they have also become visual shorthand for gender identity, equality and diversity. Use them in discussions about sex and gender, signage, profiles or any context where gender needs to be conveyed clearly.
