Flag of Malawi

The flag of Malawi features three horizontal stripes of black, red, and green with a red rising sun centered in the black stripe. The rising sun signifies a new dawn and hope for Africa's future. Although a modified design was briefly used between 2010 and 2012, the original version was restored due to popular demand.
