The hairstyle components are modifiers that can be applied to existing person and gender emojis. Four styles are defined: red hair (🦰), curly hair (🦱), white hair (🦳) and bald (🦲). Each component is joined to the base figure with a zero-width joiner so it appears as one seamless emoji. By specifying hair texture or color, users can depict a wider range of appearances with greater accuracy. When sent alone, the character may render as a blank or replacement glyph on unsupported platforms.
