Moose
A large deer species known for its broad antlers.
The moose is a large deer species inhabiting boreal and temperate forests of the Northern Hemisphere. Males are distinguished by their expansive, palmate antlers, which they wield in battles during the mating season. Adult moose can exceed 2 meters in body length and weigh between 300 to 600 kilograms. Their long legs and broad hooves are well adapted for traversing deep snow and marshy terrain. As herbivores, they browse on aquatic vegetation, leaves, and twigs, migrating over vast areas throughout the year. Occasionally venturing close to human settlements, moose can cause traffic accidents and other human-wildlife conflicts.
